The new Dopp Kit (a shave kit)

I always like to keep my eye out for new products and patterns that make sense in leather, especially when they fit that vintage or cowboy feel. When I saw makers leather supply had released a dopp kit pattern, I couldn’t resist picking it up and giving it a try and boy am I glad I did. With the roughman leather for the body, and vegtan strapping for the handles it makes for a classy little leather shave kit. They would make great gifts for just about anybody you know who appreciates leather bags and cases.

If you are wondering why we call it a dopp kit instead of say a shaving bag, shave kit, or shave case. Its due to the fact that a gentleman named Mr.Doppelt invented the idea and popularized it. Instead of going with his name of “toilet bag” many americans allegedly chose to just shorten his name and call it a Dopp Kit.
